Brazilian heavy metal icons SEPULTURA are making their live debut in Egypt on June 4th, 2016.SEPULTURA have been held in high regard since the 80's for their break-through achievements in thrash metal. Following the success of more mainstream bands such as METALLICA, SEPULTURAhave gained millions of fans worldwide by introducing the sounds of their Brazilian culture on their then-new anthems of rebellion. Egypt couldn't be a more welcoming place for SEPULTURA; to celebrate their longevity in a country that has witnessed the history of time.
Organising the event and performing in the event is Egyptian artist/horror aficionado Nader Sadek, whose art shows have been welcomed in museums as well as music venues and festivals worldwide.
Guitarist Andreas Kisser of SEPULTURA plays on Sadek's last release, »The Malefic Chapter 3«. This has enabled SADEK to invite the band to Egypt.
Local Egyptian thrashers GORYNOV are joining SEPULTURA and Sadek. They have only been around for a few years, yet have quickly risen to the metal elite in Egypt. Newcomers PERPETUAL FEROCITY are one of the most talented and underrated bands to hail from Cairo. The show is an initiative with multiple intentions, helping draw audiences from all over the world, and boosting the much needed tourism in Egypt, as well as, giving Egyptian bands the opportunity to shine in front of a larger audience. One of the most important aspects of this show is that it will help cement metal as a force to be reckoned with in Egyptian culture. As the fight for the acceptance of metal music has been a decade old, now is the time for metal to glow in the ancient city.

SEPULTURA are currently in the studio recording their 14th studio album! For this album the band have enlisted producer Jens Bogren (SOILWORK, OPETH, KATATONIA, AMON AMARTH) ofFascination Street Studios in Örebro, Sweden. The album is scheduled for an autumn 2016 release.
