Steve Austin to join BardSpec show at New York By Norse event!
Steve Austin (Today Is The Day, UXO) will join Ivar Bjørnson (Enslaved, Skuggsjà) as part of the Ambient project BardSpec at the New York By Norseevent!
Steve Austin, frontman and guitarist of the Noise/Experimental Metal band Today Is The Day and Ivar Bjørnson of Norwegian Progressive Metal legends Enslaved will collaborate on the dark, surprisingly rhythmic and hypnotic-psychedelic project BardSpec for a unique showcase at the Scandinavia House on December 9th. The two will also be joined by none other than Gorguts guitarist Kevin Hufnagel!
Steve Austin about his appearance in BardSpec at New York By Norse:
« This music really speaks to me and takes me on a psychic voyage. Ivar blows my mind with his unique and creative, otherworldly sounds. Kindred lost brothers. Onward! »
Ivar Bjørnson comments on their collaboration:
« I was introduced to Steve Austin during a Grimposium/ Uneasy Sleeper event in (thanks guys!) in Montreal this summer – as we jammed together and ultimately did a BardSpec show together. It has been a great many years since I have felt such kinship with another musician and person! Then, as if that was not enough, freakin’ Kevin Hufnagel is also joining us on stage in New York – I see obliteration on the horizon… »
